NDDOT Starting Salary:
$6,419 / month The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and mission-driven professional to lead communications and public information efforts for North Dakota's Vision Zero initiative. This role plays a critical part in supporting statewide efforts to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries through education, media campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven program management. Lead all communications and public information initiatives for Vision Zero priorities (speed management, occupant protection, impaired and distracted driving prevention, young drivers, etc.) and special projects (Crash Memorial Wall, ND Sober Ride, Vision Zero Partner Conference, Vision Zero website, etc.) Serve as a Vision Zero spokesperson Oversee the work of a full-service media firm Develop and maintain public information materials including presentations, website content, reports, news releases, talking points, and other materials Manage grant funds Manage the Vision Zero Partner Network Strengthen Vision Zero communication efforts by staying informed on best practices, trends, and emerging issues in highway safety Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relation, or related. Four years of work experience leading to a level of knowledge, skill, and ability necessary to work independently in interacting with others, problem solving, decision-making, and meeting established goals through planning, organizing, and controlling work activities. Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment. Employment is contingent upon the results of a criminal background check.
