Safety Compliance Coordinator (Contract)

Location:

Bergenfield, NJ (4 day onsite)

Pay rate

  • midrange: $30/hour
    Our client, a growing transportation and environmental services organization, is seeking a Safety Compliance Coordinator to support its Safety and Operations teams.

This role is responsible for ensuring DOT and regulatory compliance while providing administrative support for driver qualification and safety programs.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and audit DOT Driver Qualification (DQ) files. Coordinate DOT drug and alcohol testing, including Clearinghouse queries and follow-up documentation. Process Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviews for new hires and annual compliance. Track driver credentials and communicate upcoming expirations. Maintain OSHA and FMCSA compliance records and reporting. Assist with onboarding drivers and acquired employees for DOT compliance. Process previous employment verification requests. Update safety databases, fleet rosters, and other compliance records.

Qualifications:

Experience supporting DOT compliance, transportation safety, or driver qualification programs preferred. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office and data management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
