This person will help improve safety across transportation, warehouse, fleet, and distribution operations. This is a great fit for someone with experience in: OSHA compliance

You'll be visiting company locations, working with managers, reviewing safety issues, and helping create plans to prevent accidents. What You'll Be Doing Manage safety and compliance for warehouse and transportation operations. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA/FMCSR, and safety regulations . Review and manage accident reports, incidents, corrective actions, and follow-ups . Work with managers to find out why safety issues are happening. Build plans to reduce accidents and improve safety.
Example:
If forklift drivers at one location are having accidents, you would meet with the manager, review what is going wrong, and help create a plan to fix it. Facilitate safety trainings that are currently handled by HR. Create and track safety metrics, reports, and KPIs. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and site visits. Help improve warehouse, fleet, driver, and building safety programs. Partner with operations, warehouse, transportation, HR, and leadership teams. Travel about 50% to company locations. When not traveling, you'll be expected onsite, with flexibility around travel days. What They're Looking For 3+ years of safety experience in transportation, warehouse, logistics, fleet, supply chain, or distribution. Experience with DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation safety compliance . Experience with accident reports, incident investigations, audits, and corrective actions . Experience helping create or run safety training programs . Strong knowledge of warehouse, transportation, fleet, or distribution operations. Able to communicate well with employees, drivers, supervisors, managers, and leadership. Comfortable working with managers to improve safety, even without having direct reports. Strong organization and follow-through. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel . Bilingual English/Spanish preferred .
