As a Manager, EHS, you will manage the environmental, industrial, health, and safety regulation compliance for one or multiple facilities. You will oversee the development, planning, and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. Additionally, you will be responsible for hazardous and radioactive waste disposal, regulatory agency interactions, and ensuring corrective actions are taken when health and safety hazards exist. You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Manufacturing. Responsibilities Oversee the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, acting as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies. Develop and manage training programs related to hazardous material handling, emergency response, and general safety best practices. Lead the investigation of incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Administer the workers' compensation program in partnership with Human Resources, identifying trends and recommending preventive measures. Supervise hazardous and radioactive waste disposal processes, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate EHS team members to maintain a high-performance safety culture. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree or certifications like
CSP, CIH, CHMM
preferred). 8+ years of progressive EHS experience, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership capacity. A deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Demonstrated success in creating and maintaining safety training programs and policies. Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives and meet deadlines across multiple locations or departments. Experience investigating incidents using root cause analysis and implementing long-term preventative measures. A strong communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement. Proactive and resourceful, able to identify potential hazards and implement preventative strategies. A supportive team leader who fosters professional growth and engagement among direct reports.
