Job Description

Description:
The EMS Operations & Safety Manager provides direct emergency medical care to staff and guests at Main Campus and East Valley Ranch and ensures that emergency response systems are always ready. This includes maintaining vehicles, first aid kits, and safety equipment; supervising EMTs and summer drivers; and leading training for staff in emergency preparedness. The role also monitors program and facility safety, manages safety supplies, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards. This position reports to the Health Services Manager during the summer and to the Health Services Director during the rest of the year.
Requirements:
Respond to all emergency calls, providing EMT care for staff, guests, and visitors. Complete Adverse Occurrence Reports promptly and collaborate with Wellness Center staff and local Emergency Services. Supervise, schedule, and support EMTs and seasonal wellness center drivers, providing training and guidance on emergency protocols, vehicle use, and camp procedures. Maintain emergency vehicles, ensuring they are fully stocked and in operating condition. Inspect AEDs, emergency phones, eyewash stations, first aid kits, and search and rescue equipment to confirm readiness and accessibility. Lead and document staff training in CPR, First Aid, EpiPen use, emergency procedures, and seasonal safety topics; coordinate ongoing training for EMTs and drivers. Participate in emergency drills, weather preparedness activities, and seasonal safety reviews. Conduct program and building safety checks; report and help resolve unsafe conditions on campgrounds. Review, maintain, and update emergency procedures, manuals, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and safety compliance records. Manage EMS and safety supply inventories, ensuring timely ordering, tracking, and distribution to meet seasonal and program needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 21 years of age Must be a Certified Trainer in Advanced First Aid/CPR Must be organized Experience with Emergency Medical Systems. Proficient in Gmail, Microsoft Office and possess an understanding of databases Possess a valid US Driver's License
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. Employee may be required to traverse on rough terrain. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

FROST VALLEY IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER RATE OF PAY
$41,600-$44,000 annually, plus generous benefits (not available for nursing incentive)
