Job Description
Job Description We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to support a major industrial construction project in the Bedford Park, Illinois area. This individual will serve as the site lead for Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality oversight activities, ensuring all construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, company standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial construction, manufacturing, food processing, chemicals, energy, or similar heavy industrial environments. This role will work closely with contractors, project managers, field supervisors, and quality personnel to maintain a safe work environment while ensuring construction quality and compliance. https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- Degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of HSE, Quality, QA/QC, or construction oversight experience within industrial, manufacturing, food processing, chemical, energy, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial construction safety practices.
- Experience reviewing and approving ITPs, quality procedures, and inspection documentation.
- Experience managing NCRs, corrective actions, and quality audits.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction documentation platforms.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, CQM-C, ASQ, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience supporting food manufacturing, process facilities, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial expansion projects.
- Familiarity with commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT testing, and turnover processes.
- Experience auditing contractor QA/QC programs and construction compliance.
