Full Time Summary:
Provide a broad range of safety services at all MNGE properties as directed by Risk & Safety Manager or Director of Risk Management. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting inspections, assisting with incident investigations, and identifying areas for improvement. Helps promote a safe environment through training, reporting, and participation in safety initiatives. Escalate issues or provide information to Supervisor for resolution.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct safety inspections and follow-up inspections at all MNGE properties utilizing knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations to identify deficiencies in observed behavior. Compile reports with citations of relevant code deficiencies for each property safety and or follow-up inspection. 2. Assist Risk/Safety Manager as directed to investigate incidences of employee and/or guest injury. Conduct interviews with injured employees, identify causal factors, contributing factors, compile reporting documentation. Provide reporting detail to Risk/Safety Manager, Risk Management Administrator or Director of Risk Management as appropriate 3. Identify deficiencies in training or safety performance of employees through conversation with and observation of employee conduct; recommend topics or subject matter for additional training to Risk/Safety Manager. 4. Conduct ad hoc training (pre-shift meetings) on safety related matters at all properties as directed by Risk/Safety Manager. 5. Assist Risk/Safety Manager in the investigation of site incidents involving illness/injury, property damage, hazardous material spills/releases, and disaster events as assigned. 6. Participate in as directed, activities of safety and health groups such as Casino Safety Committee, Fire Control Team, and SDS Review Committee 7. Other duties as assigned. #ind1 QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Applied Science, Safety or Environmental Engineering, or related field is preferred; and/or combination of education & experience.
EXPERIENCE
Up to 3 years' experience, if degreed; minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a safety/environmental capacity if non-degreed. Experience should reflect knowledge and application of safety and health codes and regulations, preparation of regulatory reports and performance metrics and work systems, processes and technical applications. Experience in a safety capacity, especially if non-degreed, must be in a leadership role such as Safety Committee Member, Emergency Response Team Lead, and liaison with regulatory/code inspectors, etc.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements. Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain required gaming license. Certified Safety Professional status, if not currently established, to be obtained within 3 years of employment.

Tasks may require sitting, standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling & grasping. Length of time may vary from day to day and task to task. Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, frequent ascent/descent from bus stairs, travel to various on/off site venues, which may involve elevation changes in surfaces. Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
