Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Demolition Site Safety Representative to champion safety and compliance on demolition projects. In this vital role, you will oversee safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to all relevant construction safety regulations. Your proactive approach will help create a secure work environment, minimize hazards, and promote a culture of safety excellence across the demolition site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives in a dynamic construction environment, ensuring the well-being of all team members and stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety plans tailored to demolition activities, aligning with
OSHA, ANSI
standards, NFPA standards, and local construction regulations. Conduct orientation, training and safety meetings Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to electrical safety procedures, structural stability, hazardous materials, and environmental risks. Enforce adherence to construction safety management protocols by supervising workers' compliance with PPE requirements, hazard communication standards, and safe work practices. Manage incident investigations by documenting accidents or near-misses, analyzing root causes related to occupational health and risk management, and implementing corrective actions promptly. Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure all demolition activities meet regulatory compliance standards. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software. Experience 5 years experience in construction site safety management within demolition or related heavy civil projects. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, and construction workplace safety regulations applicable to demolition sites. 30 hour OSHA Construction Safety class or equivalent within past 5 years. Demonstrated expertise in risk management techniques and occupational health principles tailored to high-risk environments. Experience leading safety training programs and implementing effective safety training initiatives across diverse teams. Familiarity with electrical safety procedures, hazard mitigation strategies, and environmental health considerations in construction settings. Proficiency in construction management software for compliance tracking and documentation purposes. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors among workers at all levels of the organization. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, company physical as well as drug and alcohol testing. Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
