% onsite at Dallas, TX or Mendon Utah. About the job you're considering We are seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to ensure the safety and reliability of our autonomous robotic vehicles. The role involves identification of hazards and risks using Systems Theoretic Process Analysis ( STPA ), supporting definition of requirements, and implementing measures throughout the product development lifecycle. The Functional Safety Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into the design, development, verification, and validation of our technologies, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Your role + Promote a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization by fostering an environment where safety is prioritized and integrated into daily operations. + Contribute to the development of functional safety concepts and requirements for autonomous vehicle control systems. + Good understanding of Functional Safety lifecycles in general. + Conduct safety analysis, including STPA , Failure Mode and Effects Analysis ( FMEA ), and Fault Tree Analysis ( FTA ). + Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure safety requirements are allocated to the design and development process. + Review safety verification and validation activities, including safety testing and simulation. + Ensure compliance with internal safety processes and workflows, which are loosely based on a mixture of relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 25119, ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and regulatory requirements. + Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, safety cases, and safety reports. + Participate in safety audits and assessments, both internal and external. + Contribute to technical guidance and support to project teams on functional safety matters. + Stay updated with the latest advancements in functional safety and autonomous vehicle technolog To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
