Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Safety Manager to lead our safety initiatives across construction sites. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. As a Construction Safety Manager, you will champion a safety-first culture, proactively identify hazards, and foster continuous safety improvements. Your expertise will help safeguard our teams, contractors, and stakeholders while promoting operational excellence in construction management. Responsibilities Develop, execute, and oversee construction safety policies aligned with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and other industry standards to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to electrical safety procedures, occupational health risks, and construction workplace safety regulations. Lead safety training sessions and implement ongoing safety education programs for all personnel on-site, emphasizing hazard recognition and prevention strategies. Manage risk assessments and mitigation plans related to construction activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and construction regulatory requirements. Coordinate incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of accidents or unsafe conditions. Collaborate with project managers and teams to integrate safety into construction management processes from planning through project completion. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training logs, incident reports, workers' compensation claims, and compliance documentation using construction management software. Providing communication and documentation of the inspections carried out including suggesting necessary corrective measures. Follow up to ensure corrective measures from safety inspections were implemented. Assisting the supervisors with the implementation and enforcement of safety policies and environmental health guidelines. Take an active role in planning jobsite safety throughout the duration of the project. Assist in writing Job Specific Safety Plans, SDS Binders, JSA's, White Boards, Equipment Manuals, Equipment Inspection Reports, etc… Ability to develop and deliver safety and health training programs. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site safety management within the construction industry (5 years minimum relevant experience). Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC requirements, and OSHA occupational health regulations. Demonstrated expertise in risk management practices specific to construction environments. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to influence safety culture across diverse teams. Familiarity with construction management tools and software for compliance tracking and reporting. Ability to conduct thorough safety training sessions including first aid and CPR certification. Effective communication skills for liaising with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams. Sound/ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
