Job Description

Fire Sprinkler Director - Fire Sprinkler Division Steelwater Construction, LLC. has an immediate need for a Fire Sprinkler Designer in our Easley, SC location. This role will have cost control and project/service responsibilities for all aspects of operations within the Fire Sprinkler Protection Marketplace. They will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Responsibilities:
Ensure all associates embrace the PSI safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives. Establish team of Designer(s), Project Manager(s), Supervisor(s), Technician(s), and adequate field staffing. Track and control costs for projects. Forecasting revenue generation and completion schedules. Manage project milestones with internal departments, such as estimating, design, purchasing, fabrication, and installation. Lead internal project meetings, including meetings focused on project kickoff, job progress, design coordination, fabrication scheduling, budget to actual hours, etc. Communicate with customers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal partners to facilitate the completion of required project tasks. Oversee, and coordinate the completion of various other project activities, including but not limited to overseeing permitting, design reviews, submittals, training plans, invoicing, project schedules, customer & management required updates, etc. Conforming to and ensuring associates are adhering to the company's quality system.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of Fire Protection installation and design. 5 years of direct work experience in project management. Proven history of executing commercial projects ranging from $100K to $5MM in revenue. Proven experience in utilizing project management software; and knowledge of NFPA standards and applicable building codes. NICET certification Level 3 in fire sprinkler water systems layout is required and must have the ability to network this licensing.
