Job Description

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager Lead Safety. Drive Compliance. Protect People. An established industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen its safety culture. This highly visible leadership position reports directly to executive leadership and is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving environmental, health, and safety programs that protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence. Position Overview The EHS Manager will oversee all environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the organization. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert for regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, employee training, incident investigation, and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can influence all levels of the organization while fostering a culture where safety is a core value. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation. Design and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation and annual refresher training. Maintain accurate records related to incidents, inspections, training, and compliance activities. Prepare regulatory reports and communicate safety metrics to senior leadership. Lead safety committee meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns. Develop and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols. Promote employee engagement and accountability in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Analyze safety trends and recommend process improvements to enhance overall safety performance. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or related environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements. Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions. Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills. Ability to influence and engage employees at all organizational levels. Preferred
CSP, ASP, OSHA
30-Hour, or similar professional certifications. Experience building and enhancing safety cultures within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Work Environment This position operates in both office and manufacturing settings and may require occasional travel between company locations.
