Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead all safety, health, and environmental programs for a growing metals manufacturing facility with approximately 200 employees. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building and strengthening safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly visible on the production floor, comfortable leading change, and passionate about creating a safe and compliant work environment. Qualifications Required OSHA 30-Hour Certification 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, metals fabrication, or a similar industrial environment Experience leading safety programs within a manufacturing facility Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience conducting root cause analysis and incident investigations Preferred Bachelor's Degree CSP, ASP, or similar professional safety certification Experience supporting a facility of approximately 200 employees Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state regulations Manage programs including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Machine Guarding Powered Industrial Trucks Crane Safety Hazard Communication (HazCom) PPE Programs Respiratory Protection Confined Space Hot Work Permits Oversee environmental programs including hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and chemical management Safety Program Development Develop and improve EHS policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures Implement and maintain safety management systems Drive safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Track and improve key safety performance metrics Risk Assessment & Hazard Control Conduct audits, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments Identify and mitigate hazards in fabrication, welding, and material handling operations Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve workplace safety Incident Management & Workers' Compensation Lead incident investigations and corrective action efforts Manage injury reporting and documentation Coordinate workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs Work closely with medical providers and insurance carriers Safety Leadership & Training Establish and lead a cross-functional Safety Committee Deliver safety training and maintain certification records Promote employee engagement and accountability Foster a positive, safety-focused culture across all levels of the organization Emergency Preparedness Develop emergency response plans Conduct drills and preparedness exercises Ensure readiness for emergency situations Work Environment Manufacturing environment including welding, fabrication, and material handling operations Must be comfortable working on the production floor and interacting with employees across all shifts Ability to walk the facility regularly and lift up to 50 pounds
