Job Description

Salary:
$140K-$160K Is this your perfect fit? Are you an experienced EHS leader ready to drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment? This role offers the opportunity to lead site-wide environmental, health, and safety initiatives, influence culture, and partner with leadership to minimize risk and enhance operational performance. This position will be based at our client's facility in Inman, S.C.! What your future day will look like: Lead and execute site-wide EHS strategies to promote a strong safety culture and reduce risk Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, transportation, and security regulations, including permitting and reporting requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, inspections, and audits Manage EHS systems, including audits, action tracking, compliance calendars, and performance reporting Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions Support operational safety through participation in risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and change management processes Oversee and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, including MOC, PHAs/HAZOPs, and audits Drive industrial hygiene initiatives, including exposure monitoring and improvement plans Deliver EHS training, develop emergency response programs, and coordinate site preparedness efforts Partner with leadership and employees to strengthen engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement

Type:
Direct Hire To be a champion in this role, you will need: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, occupational health & safety, or related field 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical or PSM-regulated preferred) Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, occupational safety, and regulatory requirements Experience leading EHS programs, audits, investigations, and training initiatives Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and risk assessment tools Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills Professional certifications such as
CSP, CIH, CHMM
facilitating PHAs/HAZOPs and supporting LOPA and PSM programs are highly preferred Familiarity with industry standards (ANSI, API, NFPA) and safety systems Experience with Responsible Care or
RC 14001
frameworks is preferred Background in OSHA VPP or similar safety excellence programs HazMat response training, confined space rescue, or First Aid/CPR certification We know you are more than a resume and understand your next career move needs to be the right fit!
