District Safety Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Position:
District Safety Manager Oversee and Manage safety protocols in a K-12 setting Will work directly with school safety committee teams and provide insight to improve school safety Plan and conduct school safety meetings Respond and assist to district emergencies Act as liaison between law enforcement and school district Train, monitor and assess contracted security staff Serve the role of district safety officer in the absence of a school resource officer Assist with safety grant writing Assist with monitoring district's bullying reporting system Conduct routine patrols of schools and district assets Conduct regular safety inspections Assist with monitoring and documenting school safety drills and trainings Serve as district safety trainer Investigate and document all Worker's Compensation claims Other tasks as assigned

$57,672 - $92,230

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, three preferred Minimum of 5 years experience within corrections, law enforcement, military or security. Must have a valid SC Driver's License Sumter School District is an equal opportunity employer.
