Job Description

About the Role As a Process Safety Engineer, you will serve as a critical guardian of operational excellence, ensuring that our high-stakes manufacturing environments remain safe, compliant, and efficient. You will spearhead risk mitigation strategies and drive the continuous improvement of safety protocols to protect our workforce and optimize process reliability. Responsibilities Design and oversee comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) frameworks to ensure total regulatory alignment and operational integrity. Lead complex Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions, including HAZOP and LOPA, to proactively identify and neutralize potential operational risks. Manage the Management of Change (MOC) lifecycle, ensuring every technical modification is rigorously vetted for safety impacts before execution. Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for safety incidents, translating findings into actionable preventive measures that strengthen site resilience. Champion the mechanical integrity program by coordinating critical equipment inspections and maintenance to meet stringent safety standards. Develop and deliver specialized safety training programs to foster a culture of vigilance among staff and contractors. Monitor key performance indicators to track safety trends and provide data-driven insights for leadership decision-making. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering. 3+ years of professional experience in industrial process safety or high-hazard manufacturing environments. Deep understanding of
OSHA 29 CFR
1910.119 and related regulatory compliance frameworks. Proven ability to facilitate hazard analysis techniques and manage complex risk assessments. Preferred Skills Professional certification in safety or engineering disciplines. Experience with emergency response planning and regulatory audit coordination. Strong technical writing skills for maintaining detailed process safety information (PSI) and documentation.
