Job Description

Join T E C Industrial —a 75+ year industrial maintenance and construction specialty contractor built on safety, integrity, and teamwork. As our Site Safety Manager , you'll be the trusted safety lead on site—partnering with supervisors and crews, spotting hazards before they become incidents, and reinforcing the habits that help everyone go home safe every day.
Position:
Site Safety Manager Position Summary In this role, you'll lead day-to-day job site safety by working side-by-side with project leadership and field teams to reduce risk, strengthen safe work practices, and ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do Lead the site safety program day to day—set expectations, model safe behavior, and reinforce a "stop work" culture.
Be visible in the field:
conduct jobsite walks, observe work in progress, and coach teams in real time. Identify hazards early and drive corrective actions to closure—before incidents occur. Deliver and coordinate safety training (orientation, toolbox talks, refresher training) and ensure proper PPE use. Audit work practices and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and client/site requirements. Investigate incidents and near-misses; complete root cause analysis, implement preventative actions, and maintain clear reports. Maintain required safety records (including
OSHA 300
logs) and help keep safety policies and procedures current. Run weekly safety meetings and track follow-ups so commitments turn into results. Support injury management/return-to-work activities as needed, including coordination and case documentation. Track claim documentation from start to finish and review related billing for accuracy. The job requires occasionally remaining on one's feet in an upright position without moving for long periods of time, occasionally moving about on foot for long periods of time, remaining in a seated position for long periods of time, and/or climbing stairs, stepladders, extension ladders and scaffolding ladders. The job also requires the ability to raise or lower an object of approximately 5-50 pounds from one level to another, the ability to transport an object of up to 50 pounds a distance of up to 10 yards, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder, the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves away from the force, and/or the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves toward the force. Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2-ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
