Executive Leadership/ Operations Director Job Summary:
The Safety Director is responsible for overall safety strategy, governance, and performance across all projects and operating areas. This role provides leadership over field safety teams, ensures regulatory and client compliance and partners closely with Human Resources to maintain workforce safety compliance, training and policy alignment
Key Responsibilities:
1. Company - Wide Safety Leadership & Strategy Develop, implement, and maintain the company's overall safety vision and strategy Establish standardized safety policies, procedures, and programs across all projects Ensure safety expectations are clearly communicated to all levels of the organization Champion a proactive, prevention‑focused safety culture aligned with operational and HR initiatives 2. Oversight of Multi-Area Operations Provide leadership and oversight for all Safety Supervisors and field safety personnel Ensure consistent safety performance across regions, sites, and project types Review job progression from a safety perspective and intervene where risks increase Conduct executive‑level site visits and safety walk‑throughs 3. Documentation & Compliance Support Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, client, and contractual safety requirements Maintain and update company safety programs, including: Hazard Communication Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA) Permit systems Incident reporting and investigation Serve as the company authority for regulatory interpretation and enforcement Prepare for and lead regulatory inspections, audits, and client safety reviews 4. Documentation Governance & Procore Accountability Establish documentation standards and workflows within Procore Oversee review and quality control of submitted safety documents, including: JSAs / JHAs Toolbox talks Inspections and observations Incident and corrective action reports Analyze trends across projects to identify systemic issues Ensure timely reporting and data integrity across all sites
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience Experience with Procore
OSHA 30 NCCER
Safety Training
OSHA 500 & OSHA 501 8-10
years of demonstrated Safety Management Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities Ability to manage risk at an organizational level High‑level documentation review and governance capability Strong written and executive‑level communication skills Experience driving cultural change and accountability Work Environment Field‑based role requiring daily presence on active jobsites Exposure to construction equipment, noise, weather, and industrial processes Use of required PPE at all times May require early mornings, extended hours, or weekend work based on project needs

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
