Role:
Safety Director•
East Region Location:
Nashville, Charlotte, Atlanta, or Raleigh (candidate must be based out of one of Alpha's East Region offices)
Compensation:
$90,000
  • 105,000 base + company vehicle, fuel card, and travel covered Immediate Need Alpha Insulation and Waterproofing has been a trusted Division 7 specialty contractor since 1982, when founder Vic Verma started the company in San Antonio, Texas. Over four decades, Alpha has grown into a national player across insulation, waterproofing, fireproofing, firestopping, and restoration
  • with a portfolio that includes Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, one of the most recognizable commercial builds in the country.
The company runs on a family-oriented, safety-first culture and now operates 14+ regional offices, all while keeping the hands-on, get-it-done reputation that's defined it since day one. Alpha is splitting its East Region into two territories to give branches better, more consistent safety coverage. This newly created role covers eight branches
  • Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Nashville, Raleigh, Charlotte, Baltimore, and Cincinnati
  • and reports directly to the Corporate Safety Director in Columbus, Ohio.
You'll be the boots-on-the-ground safety authority across this region: on jobsites doing audits and training, not sitting behind a desk. What You'll Be Doing Travel to jobsites across the region (roughly 2 weeks a month, driving and flying) to run safety audits, inspections, and OSHA-standard training Own Site Specific Safety Plan compliance at the branch level and drive early, safe return-to-work programs for injured employees Lead accident and incident investigations, work claims with workers' comp administrators and legal counsel, and manage strategies to reduce claim costs and improve the experience modifier Advise Project Managers and Superintendents on jobsite hazards, safe equipment operation, and material handling Vet subcontractor safety programs and pre-qualification documentation alongside Operations Managers Serve as the corporate point of contact for OSHA and other regulatory bodies Train staff at every level on OSHA-required topics
  • fire prevention, machine guarding, hazardous materials Keep the Corporate Safety Director and Operations Managers current on regulatory changes and field issues What We're Looking For 10+ years of environmental health and safety experience in commercial construction
  • currently doing this job at a commercial GC or a mid-size/large subcontractor (no residential background) Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety management, environmental science, occupational health, or related field CSP or CHST certification, and
OSHA 500
trainer status required Deep working knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards and workers' comp regulations Comfortable in Procore and Microsoft Office Comfortable on jobsites
  • elevators, boom lifts, and everything in between A strong-willed, high-energy presence who drives safety home hard but professionally; someone polished enough to write a clean report and self-sufficient enough not to need hand-holding Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, not required Compensation & Benefits $90,000
