Transportation Safety and Compliance Supervisor (Nights)

Venture Express, an established transportation company, is in immediate need of a Nighttime Safety & Compliance Supervisor in Smyrna, TN. This position will report directly to the Safety Director and will have a multitude of responsibilities including but not limited to drug & alcohol test management, ELD management, training and other various administrative duties within the Department. The successful candidate will review safety conduct of our professional drivers, assign follow-up training as needed, conduct disciplinary counselings when necessary, assist with driver accidents by gathering information and coordinating between emergency response and drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in a Safety and Compliance related field Direct knowledge of FMCSA Compliance and Regulations Proficient HOS knowledge and enforcement Experience with In-Cab Critical Event Recorder Technology (Samsara) Working knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment Ability to hold others accountable to Company standards on Safety, Compliance, and Policy Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Abilities Strong Leadership and Motivational Skills Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability Must have the ability to work in a team environment Must have a positive attitude

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

enforce policies to establish a culture of safety and compliance Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Regulations Assist with investigations, root-cause analysis, follow, and closure of action items, and retraining regionally for all vehicle accidents involving Company personnel and/or equipment Administer compliance audits and risk assessments by inspecting employees and operations Inspect equipment to observe possible hazardous or non-compliant conditions Propose solutions to issues, Improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures Communicate with Senior Management on safety and compliance statistics Conduct , Annual and Monthly training, and retraining on safety, compliance, and policy Partner with Corporate Safety and Compliance in reviewing/analyzing safety and operational functionality and developing future strategies Maintaining a working knowledge on all FMCSA regulations and state specific regulations by reviewing pending and upcoming changes by the DOT Venture Express, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
