Full Job Description Purpose:
Provide technical support to management in the implementation and maintenance of the corporate HSE program.
Work Schedule:
Varies by location. Must have open availability any time any day of the week. Length of employment is limited to job assignment and/or project duration. Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to): Create and implement workplace HSE plans and procedures Evaluate HSE practices and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines Conduct accident prevention training to include HSE training Inspect and monitor projects for unsafe workplace conditions and acts Monitor employee conformity to HSE policies and procedures Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents Handle worker's compensation claims in the event of a workplace accident Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for HSE issues Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs. Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive HSE programs on premises or at project site locations. Provides project management team with guidance on HSE matters and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices. Essential Qualifications /

Risk assessment/management Administrative policies and procedures EPC industry experience Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools Knowledge of project controls Conceptual planning ability Conflict management and problem-solving skills Leadership ability Multi-tasking ability Communication, meeting, and presentation skills Education/Expérience : High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelors degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred Certification within the Board of Certified Safety Professionals® (OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP) preferred Minimum 8 years large scale commercial, government, or industrial project experience; including at least 4 years management level within the HSE profession Physical Requirements Stand or walk for long periods of time Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects while carrying tools and equipment Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl See well (naturally or with correction) Eyehand coordination Good physical fitness Good sense of balance Work at great heights Tool Requirements Steel-toed work boots Raincoat or poncho
