In this vital role, you will oversee safety protocols across construction operations, promote a culture of safety awareness, and implement programs that protect employee health and environmental integrity. Your expertise will help foster a secure, compliant, and sustainable work environment where safety is prioritized at every level. . Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and environmental management systems. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly. Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory standards related to hazardous materials handling, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, and environmental health requirements. Manage incident investigations, prepare detailed report writing, and maintain accurate records of safety audits and compliance activities. Stay current on regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments to ensure ongoing adherence to occupational health laws and environmental regulations. Experience Proven experience in heavy construction environments with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance standards. Demonstrated ability to conduct hazard assessments, root cause analysis, and incident investigations effectively. Prior experience in developing and delivering safety training programs focused on workplace safety, hazardous materials regulations, and employee health standards. Knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS), EPA regulations, occupational health practices, and workers' compensation law is essential. Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze data for continuous improvement initiatives. Certification in first aid, CPR, or related safety credentials is highly preferred. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards related to environmental health and occupational health expertise will be considered an asset.
