The Health and Safety Supervisor inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state and federal safety policies and regulations; Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirement along with promoting a positive safety culture; Emergency response, and site remediation while working in all types of weather conditions. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

+ Competitive wages + Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment + Group 401K with company matching component + Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career + Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement + Positive and safe work environments + Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; + Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork; + Manage employee safety training programs and coordination; + JLA's (job loss analysis), JHA's (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection, testing and supply; + Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations; + Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting; + Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance; + Establish relationships with client safety department; + Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments; + Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues; + Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions; + Performs other duties as assigned + 2+ years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting; + Strong communication and interpersonal skills; + Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards; + Valid Driver's License; + Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC); + Must have Construction Site Safety Tech certification (CSST); + Strong knowledge of regulations.
