Regulatory Compliance Management (FAA / EASA): Oversee all SHE USA activities to ensure full compliance with FAA (Part 145) and EASA (Part 21G) regulations, as well as other relevant aviation authorities (UKCAA, TCCA, ANAC). Serve as the primary liaison between SHE USA and regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, etc.), maintaining awareness of evolving regulations and communicating updates internally. Coordinate and prepare SHE USA for external regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring complete organizational readiness and compliance. Lead and conduct internal audits to proactively identify and resolve compliance gaps. Develop, implement, and maintain compliant policies, procedures, and documentation systems. Safety Management System (SMS)Leadership & Deployment:
Lead the deployment, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of SHE USA's Safety Management System in alignment with global Safran standards. Champion and oversee SMS training, promotion, and assurance across all operational levels of the site. Establish and monitor KPIs to track SMS performance, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure system efficacy. Guide the organization in the application and integration of human factors principles within SMS structure, actively working to eliminate or reduce human errors in design, production, maintenance, and operational procedures. Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and compliance through education, communication, and engagement.Risk Management:
Develop and execute robust processes for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across SHE USA's operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies in line with regulatory and business requirements. Regularly evaluate product, operational, and organizational risks; develop and monitor corrective action plans as needed. Integrate risk management metrics and reporting into business processes and leadership reviews.Human Factors Integration & Execution:
Serve as the site focal point for human factors expertise, championing the integration of human-centered design and operational best practices across products and processes. Lead the execution of human factors assessments, incorporating principles such as workload management, ergonomics, decision-making, communication, and organizational culture. Deliver targeted human factors training for all relevant staff, encouraging adoption of behaviors and practices that reduce error and support safe operations. Analyze incident and hazard reports with a human factor's lens, translating findings into actionable improvements that enhance safety, reliability, and performance. Continuously monitor international human factors regulations and best practices to ensure SHE USA remains at the forefront of safety innovation.General Management & Strategic Contribution:
Integrate and improve compliance, SMS & human factors.Job Requirements Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees in a related field preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, operations, quality management, regulatory compliance, certification, or engineering in aviation (rotorcraft experience strongly desired). Demonstrated expertise inFAA/EASA
regulatory requirements, Safety Management Systems, risk management, and human factors within aerospace MRO and production environments. Documented experience in implementing and improving human factors programs, with a proven record of evaluating workflows from a human-centered perspective. Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills. Proven collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders. Recognized professionalism, ethical conduct, and attention to detail.Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems, aviation regulatory frameworks, safety management, risk assessment, and human factors principles. Experience with product validation and bilateral airworthiness agreements. Ability to develop strategies for regulatory compliance, safety management, risk mitigation, and human factors integration at the enterprise level. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. This position requires access to information and hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The selected candidate must be a U.S. person or must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information and hardware.
