We are seeking experienced professionals to join a growing team supporting industrial and construction projects in a fast-paced environment. Company Overview A growing industrial engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company providing construction, maintenance, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, plumbing, and plant services across multiple industries including oil & gas, chemical, food & beverage, renewables, water treatment, and manufacturing. The company emphasizes a strong safety culture, operational excellence, and its "Target Zero" initiative focused on zero incidents and zero injuries. Position Summary The firm is seeking an experienced Safety Director to lead and support field safety operations across industrial construction and maintenance projects. This individual will be responsible for promoting and enforcing company safety policies, ensuring OSHA and client compliance, conducting field audits, and helping foster a proactive safety culture throughout all job sites. The Safety Director will provide leadership, oversight, and ongoing support for company-wide safety initiatives while serving as a key liaison between company safety goals and field operations. This role will work directly with client HSE teams and provide oversight and support across active project sites. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial construction, plant environments, and EPC projects, with the ability to work closely with field leadership, craft personnel, clients, and safety personnel to drive safe work practices and continuous improvement. This position will also provide management oversight of the Safety team while supporting personnel actively managing day-to-day field activities. The firm is a growing organization, and the structure and growth opportunities associated with this role will continue to evolve alongside the company's expansion. Travel to active project sites will be required as part of this position. Key Responsibilities Lead implementation and enforcement of company HSE policies, procedures, and safety initiatives across active job sites Provide field safety oversight and engagement across industrial construction and maintenance projects Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards Conduct regular field audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and behavioral observations Oversee incident management processes, including investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company safety programs and initiatives Facilitate site safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee safety training and support Maintain accurate safety documentation including JSA's, permits, incident reports, and inspection logs Support project teams during planning and execution phases to identify and mitigate risks Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field supervisors to maintain safe working environments Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance Participate in client safety meetings, audits, and coordination efforts with client HSE teams Promote the Company's "Target Zero" safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with respiratory protection, fit testing, fall protection, confined space, LOTO, hot work, and other industrial safety programs Ensure employees maintain required certifications and site-specific training requirements Provide leadership and management oversight to the company Safety team Serve as a liaison between executive leadership, safety personnel, and field operations teams Qualifications 5+ years of safety leadership experience within industrial construction, EPC, maintenance, refinery, petrochemical, manufacturing, or energy environments Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial construction safety standards Experience supporting multiple field projects and fast-paced construction environments OSHA 30 required;
OSHA 500
preferred CHST, CSP, ASP, or other safety certifications preferred Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to build relationships with field teams, clients, and leadership while maintaining accountability Experience leading or managing safety personnel and field safety initiatives preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital safety reporting systems Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed Preferred Experience Industrial plant maintenance and turnaround/shutdown experience Experience in oil & gas, chemical, water treatment, food processing, renewables, or data center construction Familiarity with Basic Plus, NCCER, confined space, excavation, crane operations, and electrical safety requirements Experience working in live operating facilities and mission-critical environments Why Join Us?
