Safety Manager Jomar Electrical Contractors is a leading electrical construction company with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality commercial electrical systems. Position Summary Jomar Electrical Contractors is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee safety programs, compliance initiatives, and safety operations across assigned construction projects and field activities. The Safety Manager will work closely with project management, field leadership, employees, subcontractors, customers, and company leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, customer requirements, and applicable safety practices. This position requires a strong field presence, leadership skills, excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to identify and address safety concerns in fast-paced construction environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation and administration of company safety programs, policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives. Conduct regular jobsite inspections, safety audits, and safety observations. Identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented and documented. Lead and assist with incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans. Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, PPE requirements, and customer safety requirements. Lead employee safety orientations, toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety meetings. Work closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to promote a strong safety culture. Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and ensure safety expectations are communicated and maintained. Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, certifications, incident reports, and compliance records. Support customer audits, regulatory inspections, emergency response activities, and other safety initiatives. Provide safety guidance and recommendations to field and project leadership. Track safety trends, identify areas for improvement, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Support onboarding and safety training for new employees. Ensure safety requirements are consistently communicated and enforced across assigned projects and operations. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of full-time safety experience required. Construction safety experience strongly preferred. Electrical, industrial, manufacturing, or commercial construction safety experience preferred. OSHA 30 certification required. Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices. Strong hazard recognition and jobsite inspection skills. Experience with incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety compliance documentation. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with project managers, supervisors, employees, subcontractors, and customers. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety reporting systems. Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, construction documents, inspection reports, and regulatory requirements. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Education High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or coursework in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant safety experience may be considered. Certifications OSHA 30

Preferred Experience 3+ years of safety experience in electrical or commercial construction. Experience managing safety programs across multiple projects or jobsites. Experience conducting inspections, audits, and safety observations. Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action processes. Experience conducting employee and subcontractor safety training. Experience working with OSHA requirements and customer safety programs. Experience working in active construction, electrical, industrial, or mission-critical environments. Work Environment This is a field-oriented Safety Manager position requiring regular travel to and presence at active construction jobsites. The successful candidate must be comfortable conducting field inspections, interacting with construction personnel, addressing safety concerns, and working in a fast-paced environment.
