Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and programs. Management Systems, including documentation, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. Coordinate external ISO certification audits and ensure ongoing compliance. Manage and administer the company's KPA Safety Management System. Utilize Novara Environmental software to manage environmental compliance, inspections, reporting, and corrective actions. Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors. Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Investigate accidents, near misses, environmental incidents, and property damage events using root cause analysis. Develop corrective and preventive action plans to reduce future incidents. Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership. Maintain OSHA logs, regulatory documentation, training records, and compliance reports. Ensure contractor and vendor compliance with company safety standards. Develop emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills. Partner with operations leaders to improve safety performance and environmental compliance. Manage workers' compensation and assist with return-to-work initiatives. Develop and manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively. Lead sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.
