Dugway Proving Ground Summary:
Plan, Implement, and coordinate safety programs, requiring application of engineering principles and technology, to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of work-related skill, knowledge, and experience in preparing and enforcing a safety program on contracts of similar size and complexity. At least 5 years in a supervisory role. Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess a valid State Driver's License. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience. Licenses & Certifications required: 30 Hour OSHA certificate Operational Security (OPSEC) training certificate from https://securityawareness.usalearning.gov/opsec/incex.htm Anti-Terrorism (AT) Level 1 training certificate from http://jko.jten.mil/courses/atl1/launch.html
Duties & Responsibilities:
Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment Review employee safety programs to determine their adequacy Interview employers and employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents Review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents Interpret safety regulations for others interested in industrial safety such as safety engineers, labor representatives, and safety inspectors Will monitor the industrial hygiene program consistent with OSHA requirements Will ensure that blood cholinesterase Testing is performed and maintained. Will ensure that all EPA, the state of Utah, and Dugway Proving Ground regulatory requirements are met and maintained concerning CFCs, recycling equipment / material, and certificate training of technicians Enforce the approved Environmental Management Plan Collect, sort, and manage all recyclable materials Special Knowledge /
Skills Required:
Familiar with the Department of Defense (DoD) particularly as applicable to Base Operation Support Services (BOSS) Must work with minimal supervision and guidance Must be familiar with
ISO 9001
2015 Standard Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Must possess a valid State Driver's License and the capability to obtain and retain a security clearance as determined by the customer Ability to travel to remote locations, use good judgement and common sense when performing job functions and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to be punctual and possess patience to work under stressful conditions Ability to identify areas requiring immediate attention and the use of practical skills to solve problems Must be available to work variable shifts including weekends DPG Services JV LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
