  • Responsibilities
  • + Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
+ Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training. + Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects. + Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification. + Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans. + Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan. + Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance. + Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken. + Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders. + Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
  • Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
+ Holds safety designation. + 5 years' experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset. + Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes. + Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve. + Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. + Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. + Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology. + Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
