Employees ONLY Duties Help Under the general direction of a Front-Line Manager and an Aircrew Program Manager, accomplishes the following duties: Technical- Develops a work program in ensure periodic surveillance of designed pilot examiners, pilot check airmen, and company training programs. The AAPM assures Alaska Airlines conducts flight crew training and testing required by Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulions (14 CFR), FAA- approved training programs, and current testing standards. The AAPM oversees Alaska Airlines check airmen and APDs. They serve as the technical advisor to the Supervisory Principal Operions Inspector (SPOI) on assigned areas of Alaska Airlines training and testing programs. They coordine technical instructions, policy orders, and procedures through the SPOI to assure uniformity of training and testing activities. Certificion- The AAPM recommends the designion of APDs and pilot examiners. They conduct flight tests, additional type rings, proficiency tests, initial qualificion tests, and line-oriented flight training. They assure standardizion of check airmen and designed examiners and recommends to the SPOI any changes which are considered necessary. Surveillance- The AAPM monitors assigned areas of the flight crew training program and associed records to ensure compliance with 14 CFR, nional and regional directives, and safe opering practices. They monitor Alaska Airline's ground and flight training and tend Alaska Airline's company and safety meetings. They evalue training programs to ensure th they meet the requirements of 14 CFR. The AAPM approves or disapproves these training programs including flight simulors, training devices, or other such equipment used in these programs. They may require amendments to previously approved manuals to accomplish the following: correct any conflict with regulory requirements; elimine unsafe practices; and/or improve the specificity of instruction. Applicants for Aviion Safety Inspector, (Flight Oversight) positions must meet all of the following requirements. At least 1 year of pilot experience in multi-engine aircraft of more than 12,500 pounds maximum certificed takeoff weight. Not more than 2 flying accidents during the last 5 years in which the applicant's pilot error was involved. Three years of experience working in an organizion with an air carrier, commercial operor, or air agency certifice, an organizion whose work led to the certificion of individual airmen, or an organizion th opered aircraft. At least one year of this experience must be with an organizion th also opered multi-engine aircraft of more than 12,500 pounds maximum takeoff weight.. Airline Transport Pilot Certifice Minimum 1,500 total flight hours. (Recency of experience is waived for current FAA employees in the 1825 series) AND In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, applicants for the FG-13 level must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next to lower grade level in the normal line of progression (FG-12 or Pay Band H), Specialized experience is defined as: Experience interpreting and applying regulions, policies and procedures reled to certificion and clarificion of air carrier aviion and commercial operions (14 CFR Part 121) Monitoring activities of organizions to determine whether they are following their authorized program, Federal regulions, and good safety practices; Executing assignments th primarily require knowledge of flight operion of air carrier aircraft.
