OXARC, a regional leader in industrial gas and welding supply distribution, is seeking an EHS Manager/Environmental, Health, & Safety to join the team at their Spokane, WA branch. If you have your degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar discipline OR at least 2 years of safety experience or combination of education and experience, and 2 years of management or supervisory experience, OXARC wants to hear from you! Requirements:
  • Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar discipline or at least two years of safety experience or combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of PSM/RMP programs
  • Knowledge of Teir 2 and Pesticide reporting
  • 2 years management or supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check Essential duties/responsibilities:
  • Manage, write, develop, train and enforce safety policies and procedures (Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Inspects facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company
  • Create and manage Accident Prevention Plan
  • OSHA compliance o Safety Plan o Job Safety Analysis o Stay up to date on all changes to regulations regarding safety standards for all lines of business o Maintain

  • Investigate and manage accident and injury claims o Mange employee's medical treatment, therapy or treatment and release o Ensure process and treatment provide employee all the necessary care o Mitigate company recordable accident and workers compensation claims exposure o Write Light Duty Job Descriptions
  • Maintain safety related data, analyze data for trends and patterns, report to management on results of analysis and plans/recommendations for improvement/changes to SOP's o Participates in the investigation, documentation and follow-up of all near misses and accidents o Maintains frequent communication with leadership about accidents, injuries and near misses
