Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Occupational Health Specialist provides services to Marshall Medical Center (MMC) employees, contractors, volunteers and providers. Establishes and maintains statistical reports, performs administrative duties and acts as the information systems specialist for the Occupational Health department, and provides relief coverage for the Disability/Leaves Coordinator as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:

Knowledge:
Minimum 2 years secretarial/clerical support experience. Ergonomic evaluation experience and/or certification preferred. Working knowledge of Workers Compensation/Safety laws including OSHA, and practices preferred. Understands labor code Knowledge of basic records maintenance and retrieval systems. Windows based word processing, publishing, spreadsheet software and basic office equipment familiarity is required. Knowledge and experience with Occupational Health Manager software such as OHM preferred. Knowledge of Insurance and claims billing preferred. A strong working knowledge of statistical analysis and trending required.
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to complete a multitude of tasks and assignments quickly and efficiently. Ability to think creatively. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to analyze and translate technical data into clear and concise reports. Ability to type 40+ CWPM preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.
