Job Description

Overview Insight Global is seeking a highly qualified Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to lead and enforce safety compliance across an active construction project site in Fairfield, CA. This role is critical in ensuring all operations adhere to federal, state, and project-specific safety standards while fostering a culture of safety excellence. The SSHO will maintain a consistent on-site presence, ensuring full accessibility to all active work zones and operations. This individual will collaborate closely with project leadership, safety teams, and regulatory bodies to implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with
EM 385-1-1
standards. As a trusted safety leader, the SSHO will oversee daily safety operations, manage compliance documentation, and provide guidance to site personnel across multiple shifts. This individual will also coordinate with the local Safety Office (SOH) and project stakeholders to ensure all safety protocols are effectively executed. Key Responsibilities Maintain a continuous on-site presence, ensuring full visibility across all project work areas Lead and administer the site safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA and
EM 385-1-1
standards Partner with project management and safety teams to promote a proactive safety culture Coordinate with the local Safety Office (SOH) for coverage, compliance, and audits Oversee multi-shift safety operations, ensuring consistent enforcement of safety procedures Conduct hazard analyses, implement mitigation strategies, and supervise safety personnel Maintain and manage training records, certifications, and compliance documentation Provide leadership reporting to senior project or corporate leadership Qualifications Minimum OSHA 30-hour certification (General Industry or Construction), or approved equivalent 5+ years of construction safety experience, OR 5+ years of general industry safety experience, OR 4+ years of experience with an ANSI/NCCA-accredited safety certification Strong working knowledge of
EM 385-1-1
safety standards Proven experience managing safety programs, conducting hazard analyses, and implementing controls Demonstrated leadership, communication, and on-site coordination skills Ability to manage multiple shifts and cross-functional teams Experience supervising safety staff and working with diverse project stakeholders
Pay:
$55.00 - $70.00 per hour
