  • $35 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Environmental compliance Data management Root cause analysis Occupational Health & Safety Full Job Description Job Purpose At Elite Metal Finishing, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator is a key contributor to the EHS Department.
This role coordinates day-to-day EHS activities related to hazardous chemicals, wastewater treatment, air emissions, employee safety programs, hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, and regulatory reporting. The EHS Coordinator works closely with production, maintenance, quality, wastewater treatment, and management teams to reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide clerical support and maintain compliance records for federal, state, and local environmental regulations and agencies.
  • Coordinate hazardous waste handling, labeling, storage, accumulation, and disposal actvities.
  • Maintain hazardous waste manifests, land disposal restriction (LDR) documentation, and waste profiles.
  • Conduct routine EHS inspections throughout the facility.
  • Assist with sampling, monitoring, and reporting requirements for: Wastewater discharge, Stormwater sampling.
  • Conduct Noise level and other environmentally required testing
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories.
  • Support emergency response programs.
  • Assist in the administration of Respiratory Protection Program, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, PPE, and other EHS programs.
  • Gather and filing EHS data from production floor.
  • Coordinate employee safety orientation and ongoing EHS training.
  • Track employee training records and certifications.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain OSHA logs and injury/illness records.
  • Monitor contractor safety compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or occupational safety
  • or work experience in lieu of education.
  • 2-5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, plating, anodizing, or metal finishing operations preferred.
  • Experience with hazardous chemicals and industrial wastewater systems is highly desirable. Skills
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to conduct training effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS database systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements
