Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Warehouse Safety Officer (EHS Specialist) to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure comprehensive management and compliance of fire safety, occupational health, safety, and environmental standards within our warehouse operations, adhering to OSHA and local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactive risk mitigation, conducting regular inspections, leading safety trainings, and serving as the key point of contact during government audits and inspections. You will play a critical role in fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement in our EHS and 6S practices.Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily checks of warehouse fire protection systems, safety doors, emergency exits, and implement corrective actions for identified hazards.
- Organize regular fire drills and safety training sessions to enhance employee safety awareness
- Monitor and enforce safety compliance in material storage, forklift operations, charging areas, and other key operational zones
- Promote and implement 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) standards on-site
- Participate in weekly 6S audits, generate audit reports, and track improvement actions to closure
- Assist the Lean Department in optimizing work area markings, workflow routes, and safety signage
- Act as the primary liaison for compliance inspections conducted by government agencies (e.g., Fire Department, Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety)
- Compile, maintain, and manage all safety, health, and environmental related documents, reports, and records.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, covering PPE usage, emergency evacuation, incident response, etc
- Establish and manage a feedback and correction mechanism for safety hazards, ensuring issues are effectively closed
- Regularly report on safety KPIs (e.
Requirements:
- Major in Safety Engineering, Logistics Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in EHS and/or 6S management within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiar with safety regulations and operational standards from OSHA, EPA, as well as local fire and safety codes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to manage audits and inspections.
Pay:
$21.00- $24.
