Our services Includes land moving and grading, underground utilities, concrete and asphalt. We have been in the market for more than 20 years offering equal job opportunities. We are currently seeking a Bilingual Safety Officer. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Safety and Compliance. The Safety Officer must plan, schedule, and prepare for work to reduce and eliminate hazards in advance. This role provides safety direction while ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and programs with the site leadership and employees. The Safety Officer will play a major role in helping to build a culture of personal awareness and safety accountability. This position requires multiple site responsibility during all active work hours.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct regular daily/weekly safety meetings and as needed Conduct post-incident investigation and provide documentation Maintain and adhere to jobsite accident prevention plan Implement an activity hazard analysis for specific phases of work Conduct inspections, identify safety problems, and implement corrective measures Continual evaluation of site working conditions and weather conditions Maintain a positive working relationship with employees and customers Basic knowledge of
OSHA 1926
standards and DOT regulations Basic knowledge of site environmental compliance Required Education and Experience, Skills and certifications: Strong work ethic High School diploma or higher Current OSHA construction 10-hour certification Proficient in MS Office Strong leadership and analytical skills Strong organization and planning skills Strong oral and written communication skills Must have ability to wear full construction PPE Certified competent person for confined spaces and trenching and excavating Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Fluent in English Required/Spanish is required- must be able to speak, read, and write in both languages. Ability to attain Stormwater Management for Construction Activities Certificate within 90 days Ability to attain the FDOT Intermediate TTC certification with 120 days MUST be able to pass drug screen MUST have a clean MVR-Company truck provided
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6am-5:30pm with some Saturday's •Payrate is negotiable depending on experience•
