Head of Sanitation

Alessi Bakeries has been serving Tampa since 1912 and we are seeking to employ a Sanitation Manager at our Alessi Bakeries Food Market. The Sanitation Manager provides leadership to the Sanitation team to achieve full plant compliance with all personnel safety, food safety, sanitation/cleaning requirements pertaining to all federal, state and customer requirements and Alessi Bakeries food safety and standards. •No Relocation Assistance is available for this position. Pay is highly dependent on experience level.•

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Other duties may be assigned) Develop and ensure compliance with all Sanitation Standard Operating procedures (SSOPs), Sanitation Checklists and Forms, and Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) Coordinate and prepares the plant for audits Maintain records and logs, prepare periodic reports for review Assure cleaning procedures are maintained and conduct departmental training Requisition supplies keeping within budget guidelines Schedule work shifts and manages KPI's Plan schedule and coordinate cleaning projects with Management teams Develop recommendations for improvements Manage recycling and trash program Develop 5S program for responsible areas in and outside the plant Manage safety, quality, productivity Enforce all company rules and guidelines Learn and develop sanitation best practices

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience 3 years Supervisory Experience Knowledge of Safety, HACCP, GMP's, and OSHA standards General knowledge of equipment operation within the baking industry Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to develop and write SOP's when necessary Must be able to work flexible hours

Language:

Bilingual preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
