Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Designated Safety Representative to champion safety protocols and ensure compliance across our organization. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison for safety initiatives, fostering a culture of health, safety, and regulatory adherence. Your energetic approach will help promote a safe working environment, uphold industry standards, and support ongoing safety improvements. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and compliance management. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies aligned with federal and state regulations, including OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are promptly taken. Serve as the key point of contact for safety training sessions, ensuring all staff are educated on safety procedures, emergency protocols, and compliance requirements. Maintain comprehensive documentation of safety incidents, inspections, training records, JSAs, and other safety related documents. Collaborate with management to review and update safety protocols related to OSHA construction site rules. Lead investigations into workplace incidents or near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventative measures. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance standards for construction and forms that relate. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity with Jobsite Safety Analysis procedures. Proven ability to manage compliance programs effectively while promoting a culture of safety. Excellent communication skills to train staff, conduct audits, and report findings clearly. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulatory standards.
