Job Description

Regional Safety Specialist - U.S. South The Regional Safety Specialist provides hands-on support to ensure safety programs are applied consistently across sites, maintain regulatory compliance, and partner with leadership to identify and reduce risk.
Location Options:
This role can be based out of either the corporate office in Peachtree City, GA or one of the sawmills: Bay Springs, MS / Belk, AL / Thomaston, GA / Eatonton, GA / De Quincy, LA / Monticello, AR. Benefits Competitive compensation + Short Term Incentive Plan 401(k) & Employee Share Purchase Plan (company match) Medical, Dental, Vision, Health & Life Insurance + Virtual Healthcare Health Saving Account + Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off + Short & Long-Term Disability Responsibilities Conduct regular site visits to assess safety performance, ensure compliance, and evaluate control effectiveness Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and timely corrective actions Identify and mitigate high-risk exposures (machine guarding, lockout/tagout, mobile equipment interactions, dust hazards) Coordinate and support safety training, including onboarding, refresher, and regulatory requirements Requirements 5 years of industrial safety experience in manufacturing or heavy industry Experience in environments with mobile equipment, machinery, energy isolation, and dust-related hazards Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices Proven ability to lead incident investigations, assess hazards, and implement corrective actions Valid U.S. driver's license with ability to travel regularly Organized, adaptable, and analytical, with a proactive approach to managing priorities and identifying risks Who We Are At Interfor, our culture is built on integrity, respect, and collaboration.
