The Opportunity We're looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined Fire Suppression Installer & Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Service Technician to join our team in Pocatello, ID. This role covers a variety of servicing and installation tasks, from hand portable fire extinguishers to commercial kitchen suppression systems, automotive paint booths, and vehicle suppression systems (mining). This isn't a position for someone who just wants to "punch the clock." What You'll Do Inspect, service, and recharge all types of portable fire extinguishers Test, maintain, and repair suppression systems for: Commercial kitchens Automotive paint booths Vehicle suppression systems Complete inspections to NFPA standards Maintain accurate records, reports, and customer documentation Provide dependable service that reflects State Fire Idaho's commitment to safety and quality Why Join State Fire Competitive pay based on experience with wage increases after a satisfactory probationary period and manufacturer certifications ($19 entry level; $20-$22 some experience; $23-$25 more experience) Paid on the job training Medical and dental insurance IRA retirement plan with company match Company-paid life insurance ($50,000 policy) Paid time off and a supportive team environment
