Job Description

$45-$50 per hour - Safety Technician for our Mission Critical Division in Kuna, ID. We're hiring a Site Safety Technician who is passionate about jobsite safety, thrives working alongside crews, and is dedicated to the implementation of proactive safety solutions that increase productivity — the safe way! What You'll Do?
Responsibilities:
Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and stop work when necessary to maintain a safe environment Support and deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for field employees Assist in enforcing VECA's Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and safety policies Participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to uphold safety expectations Day to
Day Work:
Perform daily jobsite walks to identify hazards and ensure safe work practices Work directly with Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers to support field safety needs Coach crews on proper PPE use, fall protection, and safe work procedures Lead or assist with toolbox talks and safety briefings Monitor compliance with safety policies and correct unsafe behaviors in real time Assist with safety documentation, reports, and audit tracking Interface with subcontractors, clients, and inspectors to maintain safety standards on site
Desired Qualifications:
1-3 years of construction safety experience (electrical or commercial construction) preferred High school diploma or GED required.
OSHA 10 & 30
certifications required. First Aid/CPR certification required. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and safe work practices Experience with fall protection, confined space, LOTO, and hazard communication Strong communication skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors in the field Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) About Us VECA is one of the largest electrical subcontractors in the Pacific Northwest, built on long-standing relationships rooted in trust and integrity.
