Job Description

  • Friday, 8:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM (1-2 weeks)
Shift Schedule:
  • BHD (Safety Specialist): 6:30 AM
  • 4:30 PM, Saturday
  • Wednesday
  • Donut Shift (Safety Specialist): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 12:00 PM
  • 10:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits and inspections. Identify compliance issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions. Maintain safety documentation and compliance records. Enter and manage data in internal systems. Train and coach managers and associates on safety procedures. Support OSHA compliance, workers' compensation, and emergency response activities. Participate in process improvement and safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in EHS, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field; OR a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, particularly 29 CFR 1910. Professional experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field. Experience in workplace safety, workers' compensation, and incident management. Emergency response training/certifications. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, healthcare, or logistics environments. Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience conducting job hazard analyses and risk assessments. Passion for workplace safety and continuous improvement.
