Full Job Description Description:
Position Overview The Pizza Quality Control Specialist plays a key role in maintaining Sal's Pizza's reputation for excellence by ensuring product quality, consistency, and brand standards across all locations. This role conducts on-site audits, evaluates food preparation and presentation, and partners with restaurant leaders to identify improvement opportunities that enhance the guest experience and protect the Sal's brand. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular on-site evaluations of product quality, presentation, and adherence to brand standards. Partner with location managers to review audit results and support improvement plans. Monitor recipe accuracy, ingredient handling, and portion control to ensure consistency. Perform detailed product testing and sampling to verify compliance with quality expectations. Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate action plans to Operations leadership. Support the development and implementation of quality KPIs and tracking systems. Assist with training initiatives related to food quality and operational standards. Maintain a proactive presence in the field, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in restaurant operations, quality control, or hospitality management. Strong knowledge of pizza preparation, ingredient handling, and food safety standards. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and correct process deviations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable coaching managers and teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and digital reporting tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to multiple locations weekly.
