Job Description

A sanitation specialist creates and maintains an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment by providing first class sanitation to our equipment and facilities at the Hartmann U.S. Inc. plant in Rolla, MO. Primary duties include cleaning of all offices, hallways, bathrooms, board rooms, employee break rooms, and cafeteria. Perform various cleaning and sanitation tasks with little supervision, including scrubbing walls, floors, lighting, pipes, and ductwork or HVAC units inside the plant to name a few.
Qualifications :
Strong working knowledge of industrial or manufacturing facilities High School diploma or GED Promote health and safety in the workplace Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization. Understand the Standard Operating Procedures and Inspection Regulations Ensure quality control and efficient workflow Display positive leadership
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for inventory, handling, formulation and dispensing of plant cleaning supplies Incorporating special or rotational cleaning duties into their daily schedules, for specialized cleaning or sanitation processes that might not occur every day. Reading chemical labels or Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to properly handle chemicals. Disassembly/Reassembly of valves, guards, various other equipment, and piping for sanitation/Production and inspection. Perform Clean in Place (CIP) on production lines as needed. Proper /safe use of vacuums and brushes in storage areas plant wide. Basic general maintenance and sanitation as it relates to equipment, facilities and grounds. Participate in regular handling, transportation, and storage of recycled materials. Operation of production equipment for cleanup including Boom, Forklift, and Scissor Lift. Work in confined spaces to remove and clean product from equipment. Supports the Continuous Improvement & 5 S process. Operate computer systems and touch screen automation systems. Can lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Performs all other duties as assigned. Serves in other capacities, participate in special projects as needed.
