$75,000 - $90,000 annually The Role CSI is looking for a Install Quality and Safety Specialist to support sanitary process piping projects at customer facilities and within our shop operations. If you are passionate about quality workmanship, safety leadership, and working in a fast-paced industrial environment, this is an opportunity to join a growing and customer-focused team. The Quality and Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring & enforcing the quality and compliance of sanitary process piping installations at job sites. This role involves inspecting field work, verifying adherence to project specifications, industry standards (e.g., ASME
BPE, 3-A
), and CSI protocols. In addition to quality control duties, the Specialist will support the Supervisor-Resource Management with equipment maintenance, new hire training, safety enforcement, and other assigned tasks to ensure smooth and safe project execution. This role requires leadership and coaching skills as well as a high degree of flexibility regarding travel. Positive representation of CSI to customers and CSI employees is an important part of this position. What You'll Be Doing Inspect sanitary process piping installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, CSI standards, and industry requirements including ASME BPE and 3-A standards Develop & enforce CSI Field Quality & Safety policy in collaboration with CSI Safety Director & Supervisor - Resource Management. Verify weld quality, material integrity, installation techniques, and perform visual and non-destructive testing to identify and resolve quality issues Document inspection results, maintain detailed records, prepare reports, and obtain customer sign-off upon project completion Enforce OSHA and company safety policies by conducting safety audits, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with PPE, lockout/tagout, and confined space procedures Support project operations through equipment mobilization, logistics coordination, and collaboration with project teams to maintain efficient job execution Train, mentor, and coach new hires and field employees on company procedures, sanitary piping techniques, safety expectations, and quality standards Participate in project planning and review meetings while maintaining compliance with company policies and contributing to a safe, productive, and professional work environment Who This Is For Experienced professionals with a background in sanitary piping, welding, installation, or quality control Individuals who are safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in field and shop environments Individuals who are self-driven, disciplined and self-starters Strong communicators who can lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with teams and customers Problem-solvers who can adapt quickly and maintain high standards in fast-paced environments Candidates willing to travel regularly and work flexible schedules as project demands require Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required 3-4 years of experience welding sanitary piping or performing quality control in a field/install environment required AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), ASME BPE training, or related quality certifications preferred Supervisory or lead experience preferred Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, sanitary piping standards, and industrial installation practices Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills Why CSI Opportunity to work on specialized stainless-steel process systems across multiple industries Hands-on role with direct impact on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction Collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement Career growth opportunities within installation, operations, and leadership teams Company culture centered on taking care of employees and customers Benefits & Perks CSI offers a competitive benefits package including: Health and wellness benefits Paid time off Retirement planning options Tuition reimbursement and continuing education support Opportunities for internal career advancement Company lunches, team events, and community volunteer opportunities About CSI CSI provides state-of-the-art stainless-steel process equipment and service for manufacturers in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries. Employees must be able to work in industrial environments, lift up to 75 pounds with assistance, wear required PPE, and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
