- Job Summary and Qualifications
- Supports and promotes clinical patient safety initiatives and compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards through comprehensive assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation of organizational processes.
Facilitate improvement activities by utilizing quality and performance improvement tools and techniques. Serve as an accreditation and regulatory resource in area(s) of expertise and knowledge base.

Required Experience:
- Four or more years of relevant clinical experience.
Ability to extract data and information from medical record and use critical thinking to establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of patient safety principles, national/local patient safety and accreditation standards and clinical best practices. Basic knowledge of human factors theory, systems improvement techniques and Performance Improvement methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of tools (to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and basic skills in reviewing, manipulating and analyzing data. Organizational skills, including 3 ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Excellent written, oral, and intrapersonal skills; ability to work effectively independently and in teams; ability to serve as change agent +
Preferred Experience:
- In-depth understanding of human relations, group dynamics, change theory, and improvement methodologies. Experience in leading tracer teams or preparing clinical areas for Accreditation or Regulatory Surveys. +
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree.
If RN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval. +
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master's Degree in a related field. +
Required Experience:
- If RN, must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON. +
Preferred License or Certifications:
- Other clinical licensure are preferred. National Certification in area of specialty.
