Job Description
Summary CHS Sunflower has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grains and Processing Division. We are looking for a Sanitation Technician in our ready-to-eat sunflower processing facility in Fargo, ND. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for overseeing development and execution of the facility sanitation program, as well as performing essential daily sanitation tasks. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented and have a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning required by the master sanitation schedule in production areas and non-production areas, including but not limited to drains, floors, walls, ceilings, carts, brooms, dustpans, dock plates, etc.Execute non-routine cleaning and sanitation activities as needed to resolve environmental incidents and water intrusionsDocument completion of routine and non-routine cleaningAssist with production line equipment cleaning and sanitation as neededPerform testing of chemicals from the chemical dilution system as neededGive feedback on sanitation standard operating procedures and other sanitation documentation to improve overall sanitation resultsBe a safety champion and support food safety, physical safety and customer safety initiativesParticipate in training opportunities to further sanitation and food safety knowledgeMaintain a clean and safe work area at all timesPerform other duties as assignedAbility to work overtime if neededMinimum Qualifications (required) Must meet minimum age requirement1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business OperationsAdditional Qualifications Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demandsHigh School diploma or GED preferredAgriculture experience preferredForklift certiification preferredFood manufacturing experience preferredPre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
