Perform all sanitation duties in a safe, efficient, and timely manner in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Execute routine and deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and facility spaces to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene standards. Perform preventive sanitation tasks to minimize contamination risks and support operational readiness. Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals, tools, and sanitation equipment. Monitor sanitation conditions and promptly report or correct deficiencies. Assist with facility upkeep related to cleanliness and organization and coordinate with outside sanitation or waste service providers as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily cleaning of office areas including emptying of trash receptacles and vacuuming of carpets Daily cleaning of floor surfaces in lobby, hallways, and break rooms Daily cleaning of food handling areas in both break rooms Cleaning of break room coffee equipment and preparing coffee several times daily Daily cleaning and re-supplying of office area bathrooms Daily cleaning of the locker room Takes direction on assignments from Lead Technician Help with draining of wastewater if needed. Other tasks as assigned Follow all safety rules/procedures and maintain an accident and on-the-job- injury free record Compliance with all relevant SQF procedures and regulations Ability to work OT if needed. Must be able to work alone without supervision Must be able to communicate effectively Support the company in achieving established performance and operational goals. Contribute to the department's ability to meet targeted objectives and productivity standards. Perform all other duties and tasks assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum one (1) years sanitation experience in an industrial setting Skills and/or
Physical Requirements:
Ability to follow a daily routine and complete tasks independently with competence Lifting minimum of 30 lbs. Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time Use of a variety of cleaning tools/and related equipment English language speaking and reading fluency
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be capable of regularly being required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear during an 8 - 12-hour work shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of materials on a repetitive basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may handle hazardous chemicals, solvents, or mixtures. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, eye protection, gloves, uniforms, and safety shoes. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Physical demand requirements are at the levels of those for active work.
