Standard hours M-F Comments/Special Instructions Job is 100% On Site The client will pay for relocation No sign on bonus Job Summary The SHE Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) regulations and company standards. This role supports the implementation of safety programs, promotes a strong safety culture, and ensures adherence to regulatory and internal requirements within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with SHE training requirements and deliver training sessions as needed; actively support the site Emergency Response Team Enforce adherence to safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Industrial Hygiene, Working at Heights, and Emergency Response protocols Promote Behavior-Based Safety initiatives, monitor participation, track key SHE metrics, and conduct regular compliance inspections Perform daily safety inspections, assess hazards for new or modified operations, and investigate incidents Support root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) Issue safe work permits, train and oversee contractors, and support waste management documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain safety standards, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance Qualifications Associate degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred Familiarity with NYS DEC, OSHA, and EPA regulations Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and corrective action planning Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as EPA Hazardous Waste, DOT Hazardous Materials, OSHA (10/30-hour), or ISO (14001, 45001, 50001) Experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial environments Applicant Notices & Disclaimers For information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here At SPECTRAFORCE, we are committed to maintaining a workplace that ensures fair compensation and wage transparency in adherence with all applicable state and local laws.
