JOB SUMMARY
Assist the EHS Manager by developing, implementing and coordinating environmental, health and safety programs, monitor compliance with regulations, conduct occupational safety training, equipment inspections, safety process assessments and incident investigations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct Job Safety Analysis (line, department and task specific) Assist with conducting and developing EHS training (new hire orientation, monthly safety training and Safety Team training) Support monthly Safety Team meetings (i.e. track closure of items, develop activities) Assist with incident investigations, identification of root cause, closure of Industry Safe/Vector incidents Assist with audit facilitation, PPE assessments and records review (i.e. hazardous waste manifest and tracking) Conduct Lockout/tagout assessment support, procedure support and issuing of locks for new hires Support facilities and requirements for environmental permits (Stormwater inspections, Air emissions tracking) Help facilitate industrial hygiene monitoring (noise maps, monitoring and testing) Safety Data Sheet (SDS) review, updates and tracking
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education High school graduate Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations Able to utilize an analytical approach to help solve complex issues Work on site- No hybrid work Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Requires standing, walking, carrying. stooping and kneeling and potential light physical work Work schedule flexibility: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (8-4:30 PM) and Tuesday, Thursday (12-8:30 PM). Must have the flexibility to support the night shift teams with training, drills and safety concerns Preferred Job Requirement Work Experience A minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial, manufacturing or plant facility. The anticipated salary range for this position: $21.25 - $30.75 Hourly The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
